THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING

It is a British romantic biographical drama film. It is about one of the most important scientists in the world: Stephen Hawking , and expecially of his life with his wife Jane. When Stephen was 21 years old got a doctorated in physics and cosmology , but in the same year he got an horrible diagnosis , in fact he had an infirmity to some neurons that paralyzed him. But Sthephen , with his wife Jane , fought against this infirmity and thanks to their determination Stephen became an important scientist who changed science.
 The main actor is Eddie Redmayne as Stephen Hawking and Felicity Jones as Jane Hawking. This movie in 2014 had a big succes , I think that it is a perfect mix of biographical and drama kind of movie. What I prefere of this movie is the protagonist , in fact he had a physical and mental transformation into Stephen Hawking and it is very remarkable because he engaged a lot , expecially physically, to play this role. At the same time , also the soundtracks are perfects, I think they are played in precises moments of the movie and they are perfects melodies too. So James Marsh has been a good director , in fact this movie teachs us that we must not hand over in our lives as Stephen.

                 

                                                            BRIDGE OF SPIES



Bridge of Spies is a 2015 American historical-drama thriller, directed by Steven Spielberg. The protagonists are Tom Hanks, Mark Rylance, Amy Ryan and Alan Alda. This wonderful historical drama is set during the famous "Cold War" (between  USA and USSR) . A Brooklyn attorney (Tom Hanks) is tasked with negotiating a prisoner exchange among an American pilot, who was shot down over the USSR, and a Soviet spy serving a 45-year sentences for espionage against USA. This movie, at Oscar 2016, won an Oscar as: Best movie, Best screenplay, Best scenography and Best soundtrack. Today, this movie is considered one of the best and interestings movie of the year, in fact it had success with a worldwide gain of $164.3 milion. I think that it is not only a spetacular   movie but at the same time is also addictive and very interesting because is a very special kind of thriller too.

                      

                                                            DISNEYLAND


Disneyland is recognized as the happiest place on Earth and it is the dream of every kids. But over the years Disneyland has had differents problems. The creator of this wonderful theme park is Walt Disney that had this idea going to differents theme parks with his soons. He wanted to build a place where also parents could have fun with their children in fact, some say that when parents go to Disneyland they feel like a child again. The first Disneyland opening was on July  17th 1955 and it was a disaster! In fact there were differents problems: some people got in with fake tickets , drinking fountains were not working, there was not enough food for everyone, three areas of the park were closed because of a gas leak and some rides were broken. Anyway, some people tought that Disneyland was a failure , but more than 650 milion of people visited it since 1955. Today Disneyland continues to have 15 milions visitor a year and today it is the most visited them park of the world.

In the background there is New York and there are a lot of skyscrapers and among these we can see the Empire State Building. In the middle , between the Statue of Liberty and the city , there is the coast and the sea with a big boat. On the foreground there is one of the most popular statue of the world: the Statue of Liberty also called Lady Liberty. I think that this photo is wonderful and it underlines the greatness of the city, I think that the best part of the picture is Lady Liberty. I'd like to visit the city because it is spetacular.

                                                       

                                                           I.W.D. : INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY



The international women's day , is an important date celebrated on March 8 every year. This celebration started as a Socialist political event. The first and earliest women's day observance was celebrated in 1909 and it was organized by the Social Party of America in New York . At first , this celebration was considered only in Europe , but from 1920s, Soviet Union, and other comunists countries  started to celebrate this date. In 1975 the UN ( United Nations ) began , with other members states , to recognize this holiday. But , today , this celebration does not have a political respect , in fact it became a simply occasion for men to express their love for women , as Mother's day or Valentine's day. Anyway we have to remember this date , because a lot of women fought for their civil rights and at the same time against the sexism and the sexual discrimination ; also today some of them are still fighting for their rights. There are a lot of way to celebrate this holiday, in fact  , in Italy men give yellow mimosas to women , but this tradition is also followed in other countries. 

 

                                                          

                                                               HE FOR SHE 


He for she is a solidarity campaign for gender equality initiated by UN women . Its goal is to engage men and boys to fight for gender equality and women's right. So, in this way, HE FOR SHE involve men and boys in a movement that, at first, was created only for women. This type of movement started on 20 September 2014 with the help of some importants people like Emma Watson.

                                            

                                         

                                                           THE BLACK HISTORY MONTH


Black History Month is an annual celebration in differents states like USA,UK and Canada. It is a famous  celebration to remember important people and events in the History of the African Diaspora. At first it was not called Black History Month but Negro History Week. In 1970 it changed the name in Black History Month and the first celebration took place at Kent State University in 1970. In 1976 , Black History Month, was recognized by the USA governement  and the president Gerald Ford extended this celebration in all US states. After, between 1987 and 1995, other countries as Canada and UK acceded to this celebration.
In this period a lot of pearsons fought against the racism by white people and against the racial segregation, when black people were maltreated and excluded by some places or activities. So, black people wanted the same rights of white people. Today, Martin Luther King, is considered the "head" of this movement.

                                                    MARTIN LUTHER KING 

Martin Luther King was one of the most important leader in the movement foe equality during the 19th century. He is best known for his important role in the fight for civil rights using nonviolent disobedience. He was born in Atlanta on 15 January 1929. He was already known from 1955 when he led a very strong protest against the racial segregation. Thanks to him, in 1956,the horrible bus segregation was removed. 1963 is an important year for Martin Luther King, because he did his famous civil right march in Washington DC and it was a succes in all the world. Here he made his wonderful speech "I HAVE A DREAM", his dream was theat one day brotherhood could reign around the world and his speech touched a lot of people in the world. In 1964 he received a Nobel Peace Prize and in the same year many kinds of discriminations were banned in USA. He was assasinated in Memphis in 1968, but in 1986 USA governement created the Martin Luther King day, that began a national Holiday.
